During the cruise can be practiced different types of dives, depending on season, itinerary and group of divers. Diving in Maldives depends mainly on seasons and currents. It will be possible to practice up to three dives per day and one night dive per week, all under the guidance of our instructors, two Italians and one Maldivian dive master.
Divers can use our brand new luxurious Maldivian dhoni, equipped with 2 compressors, 12lt aluminium tanks, 5lt junior tanks, 15 lt steel tanks and one medical oxygen tank (another one medical oxygen tank is on board Sachika), belts and weights.
It's also possible to rent diving gear and 2 sea scooters when snorkelling.
All the scuba equipment remains onboard dhoni, so there will be no need to transfer it every time when you go diving. |

| In the winter time (November - April) |
Diving will be possible mainly in ocean channels in the east side of the atolls. These channels allow current flow to enter and exit the atoll, making them clear and rich of marine life. Our instructors will guide you to the best diving sites crowded with huge variety of fish, tunas, eagle ray, white tip sharks, grey sharks and even hammer head sharks. On the west side of the atolls it's possible to encounter the magnificent manta rays. But most of all you will enjoy the priceless experience of diving in shallows, caves and canyons filled with colourful coral formations and marine fauna that cannot be seen in other places in the world.

| In the summer time (May - November) |
the south west currents bring crystal water in the western atolls. These atolls are rich of shallows close to the passages, so that the marine creatures can better enjoy the currents. This kind of "mountains" coming from the ground are all covered up with an enormous variety of corals with amazing colours. These mountains are the perfect habitat for reef fishes, sharks and bigger fishes. During this period it's not a rare occasion to encounter mantas, hammer head sharks and last but not least the whale shark which is frequently visible also in the winter time. |
